Inventory+ Privacy Policy
Inventory+ (“the app”) is developed and published by Reimel Ltd. We respect your privacy completely.
What the app does
Inventory+ does two jobs. It records the contents of your home, with photos, values, serial numbers and receipts, so you have a proper record for an insurance claim. And it records the condition of a rented property room by room, with meter readings and photographs, so a check-in, mid-tenancy or check-out report can be produced and agreed. You enter everything yourself; it is all stored only on your device.
Data we collect: none
The app does not collect, store on our servers, or share any personal data. There is no account, no sign-in, and no cloud, and the app contains no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind. Your items, photographs, values, notes, property and tenancy details, meter readings and settings never leave your device except when you deliberately export them (see below).
That includes the details of other people. If you record a tenant’s name and the dates of their tenancy, that information stays on your device exactly like everything else. We never receive it.
Network use
The app works fully offline. The only network connection it makes is Google Play Billing, used if you choose to buy an optional unlock. Payment is handled entirely by Google Play (see below).
The app declares the Internet permission solely because Google Play Billing requires it. No feature of the app sends your data anywhere.
Photographs
Photographs you take or choose are stored in the app’s own private storage on your device. They are never uploaded. When a photo is imported the app re-encodes it, which as a side effect removes location and other camera metadata from the copy it keeps.
The app has no camera permission. When you take a photo it hands off to your own camera app and receives the resulting image back, which is why no permission is needed.
Payments
The optional unlocks are one-time in-app purchases processed entirely by Google Play. Reimel Ltd never receives or stores your payment-card details. The app stores only, on your device, whether an unlock is active.
Permissions
- Internet and network state, used only for Google Play Billing as described above.
- Biometric / fingerprint, used only if you turn on the optional app lock, so the lock can be opened with the same fingerprint or face your phone already uses. The check is done by Android; the app never sees your biometric data.
- Run at start-up and foreground service, used only to re-schedule and carry out the automatic backup you have asked for, to the folder you chose.
The app asks for no camera permission, no location permission and no contacts permission.
Backup & export
Everything you export is written where you tell it to and nowhere else. Backups (a single file containing your data and photographs), PDF reports and CSV exports are saved to the folder or destination you pick, on your device or in whatever storage you choose to send them to. Reimel Ltd has no access to any of it.
A backup can optionally be encrypted with a password you set. That password is held on your device only. If you lose it we cannot recover the backup for you, because we never had it.
Children
Inventory+ is intended for adults and is not directed at children.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update this page and the effective date above.
