OfficeCalc Privacy Policy

OfficeCalc (“the app”) is developed and published by Reimel Ltd. This policy explains, plainly, what the app does and does not do with your information.

What we collect: nothing

We do not collect, receive, store, transmit or share any personal data. There is no account, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking of any kind. Reimel Ltd never sees your calculations.

Your calculations, paper tapes, saved sessions and settings are stored only on your own device, in the app’s private storage. Android’s automatic cloud backup is switched off for this app, so that data is not copied to Google Drive either. If you want a copy, you make it yourself with Settings › Backup, and you choose where the file goes.

Internet access, and why the app asks for it

OfficeCalc includes an optional one-time purchase, OfficeCalc Pro, which unlocks extra colour themes, AMOLED true black and the custom key size. To offer that, the app includes Google Play Billing, and that is the only reason it declares these permissions:

• com.android.vending.BILLING – lets Google Play process the one-time OfficeCalc Pro purchase.
• android.permission.INTERNET – required by Google Play Billing to reach Play’s servers.
• android.permission.ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE – required by Google Play Billing to check connectivity.

The calculator itself never uses the network. Nothing you type, no tape, no session and no setting is ever sent anywhere. The only outbound traffic the app can generate is Google Play checking whether you own OfficeCalc Pro, completing that purchase if you choose to make it, and showing Google Play’s own “rate this app” prompt.

Purchases are handled entirely by Google Play. Reimel Ltd does not receive or store your name, email address, or any payment details. Google’s own privacy policy covers that transaction: policies.google.com/privacy.

Sharing and exporting

When you choose to share a tape (as text, PDF or CSV), or export a backup, the app hands that file to whichever app you pick from Android’s standard share sheet, or writes it to the location you select. OfficeCalc does not upload it anywhere, and it only ever happens when you ask for it.

Children

The app is suitable for all ages and collects no data from anyone, including children.

Changes

Any update to this policy will be posted on this page, with the date at the top changed.
