Qard Privacy Policy
Qard (“the app”) is developed and published by Reimel Ltd. We respect your privacy completely.
What the app does
Qard helps you keep a record of interest-free personal loans (qard hasan), money you have lent or borrowed. You enter each loan yourself; the app tracks repayments, shows what you are owed and what you owe, and reminds you in time to repay or collect. Everything you enter is stored only on your device.
Data we collect: none
The app does not collect, store on our servers, or share any personal data. There is no account, no sign-in, and no cloud, and the app contains no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind. Your loans, the people involved, amounts, notes and settings never leave your device except when you deliberately export them (see below).
Network use
The app’s only network connection is Google Play billing, used solely to offer the optional one-time “Qard Pro” upgrade through Google’s own billing system. No loan data, and nothing identifying you, is ever transmitted. The app does not send your loans anywhere. If you never buy the upgrade, no personal data is involved at all.
Permissions
- Internet, used only by Google Play billing for the optional Qard Pro purchase. No loan data is transmitted.
- Notifications, to show your repayment reminders on the day you asked for. Reminders are scheduled and shown entirely on your device, and are only ever shown to you, the app never messages the other person.
Backup, export & sharing
You can export your data to a JSON file, or share a loan agreement (PDF) or a zakat summary, using Android’s standard share and file pickers. These files go only where you choose to send or save them; the app does not upload or transmit them anywhere.
Children
The app is safe for all ages and collects no data from anyone, including children.

Any updates to this policy will be posted on this page.
