Umrah+ Privacy Policy
Umrah+ (“the app”) is developed and published by Reimel Ltd. We respect your privacy completely.
What the app does
Umrah+ walks you through the rites of Umrah and Hajj step by step, counts your Tawaf circuits and Sa’i laps, keeps preparation checklists, and holds a trip card with the details you would otherwise write on a piece of paper. It is designed to work with no signal at all, which is the point: it has to be useful inside the Haram. Everything you enter is stored only on your device.
Data we collect: none
The app does not collect, store on our servers, or share any personal data. There is no account, no sign-in, and no cloud, and the app contains no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind. Your counters, checklists, walkthrough progress, trip details and settings never leave your device except when you deliberately export them (see below).
That includes other people’s details. The trip card is a place to keep a group leader’s name and phone number, a contact at home, your hotel and room number. All of it stays on your device exactly like everything else. We never receive it, and neither does anyone else.
Network use
The app works fully offline and has no feature that sends your data anywhere. The only network connection it can make is Google Play Billing, used if you choose to leave a tip.
Payments
Umrah+ is free, in full. Nothing is locked, there is no paid tier and no subscription. If you choose to leave a tip it is an optional in-app purchase processed entirely by Google Play. Reimel Ltd never receives or stores your payment-card details.
Permissions
The app itself requests no permissions. The few that appear on its Play listing are added by the Google libraries it uses, and are listed here so nothing is a surprise:
- Internet and network state, required by Google Play Billing so a tip can be processed. Nothing else in the app uses the network.
- Run at start-up, wake lock and foreground service, added by Android’s WorkManager library, which the app uses to keep the home-screen widget up to date.
The app asks for no camera, no location, no contacts and no microphone permission. It does not know where you are: the guidance it shows is the same for everyone, wherever it is opened.
Backup & export
You can export a backup file and restore it later, for example when moving to a new phone. The file is written where you tell it to and nowhere else. Reimel Ltd has no access to it.
A backup carries your settings, your checklist ticks and your trip card. It deliberately does not carry your counters or your walkthrough progress: a restored circuit count would describe worship that did not happen on that device, so the app treats those as belonging to the moment rather than to the file.
Home-screen widget
The widget shows your own progress on your own home screen. It reads the same on-device data as the app and sends nothing anywhere.
Children
Umrah+ is intended for adults and is not directed at children.
