Trading Calculators Privacy Policy
This policy describes what data Trading Calculators handles, what it does not, and your rights. The app is a set of informational calculators for futures, forex and stock position sizing, plus a tracker for funded prop-firm accounts. It does not provide financial or trading advice, does not place trades, and does not connect to any broker.
Summary
- No servers. We operate no backend. Your data lives on your device.
- No analytics, no telemetry, no crash reporting. We do not track usage.
- No advertising. No ad SDK is embedded.
- No account. There is nothing to sign up for and nothing to sign in to.
- Payments are processed by Google Play. We never see your payment details.
1. What we do not collect
We do not collect, store, or transmit any of the following:
- Names, email addresses, phone numbers
- IP addresses or device identifiers
- Account balances, trade history, prop-firm account details, broker credentials, or any other figure you type into the app
- Usage analytics or feature-interaction data
- Crash reports or stack traces
2. What stays on your device
Your prop-firm account configuration, your equity history, the day’s trade log, your start-of-day balance and the last figures you typed into each calculator are stored locally in Android’s standard sandboxed storage. This data never leaves your phone. It is included in Android’s normal app-data backup only if you have Google Backup enabled on your device (Google’s policy governs that backup), and it is deleted when you uninstall the app.
3. Backup files you create yourself
Settings offers “Export backup”, which writes a JSON file containing your accounts, your trade history and your start-of-day figure. You choose where that file goes through Android’s own file picker: your device, an SD card, or whichever cloud storage you have installed. The file is written directly by the app to the location you pick; it is never sent to us and we have no way to read it. Once it leaves the app, that copy is governed by whatever service you saved it to. Restoring reads the same file back and replaces the app’s current data with it.
4. Payment processing (Google Play Billing)
Subscription purchases are handled exclusively by Google Play Billing. Trading Calculators does not see, store, or transmit your payment-card details, billing address, or Google account information. That transaction is processed by Google and governed by Google’s privacy policy. We receive only an anonymised purchase token from Google Play, which the app uses to confirm an active subscription exists on your Play account; it is not linked to any personal identifier on our side (we operate no servers) and is stored locally in your device’s app sandbox.
5. Subscription data
The app caches your subscription state (active, not active, or expired) locally so that Pro features keep working during a temporary loss of network. The cache holds only a status code and an estimated expiry timestamp; Google Play remains the authoritative source. It is excluded from Android’s cloud backup and from device-to-device transfer, so a new phone re-checks your entitlement with Google Play rather than trusting a copied file. No other subscription detail is stored or transmitted.
6. Permissions and network access
The installed app declares the following, all of them added by the Google Play Billing library rather than requested by the app’s own features:
com.android.vending.BILLING, required for subscription processing (no user-facing prompt)android.permission.INTERNETandandroid.permission.ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE, used by Play Billing to reach Google Play
The calculators themselves make no network requests of any kind: there is no price feed, no exchange rate lookup and no rules fetch, which is why the forex pip value is a field you fill in yourself. The app requests no storage, location, contacts, camera or notification permissions. If a future version adds a permission, this policy will be updated before that version ships.
7. Children
Trading Calculators is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone, see Section 1, including children.
8. Your rights
Because we hold no data about you on any server, requests for data access, correction, deletion or portability are satisfied by your control of your device: uninstall the app and all locally stored data is deleted by Android. Any backup file you exported yourself is deleted by you, wherever you saved it.
9. Subscription disputes and refunds
Refunds are processed by Google Play under Google’s standard subscription refund policy; we cannot process refunds directly. To request one, follow Google’s instructions at support.google.com/googleplay/answer/2479637. To cancel, use Google Play Store → Subscriptions. For billing disputes, contact us at the email below.
10. Changes to this policy
If we materially change how the app handles data (for example by adding server-side features), we will update this policy and notify existing subscribers with an in-app notice at least 30 days before the change takes effect.
